THE LEAGUE DEPENDS ON VOLUNTEERS TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!

Baseball has a lot of moving parts, both on and off the field. That's why a successful baseball program depends on active engagement from players and families alike. We especially need parents and guardians of younger players to get involved and help out the league. We are in a rebuilding phase as we bring back community baseball under the Lincoln High School umbrella. We encourage all to get involved!

We currently need an Umpire-in-Chief to join our Board immediately. We are also in need of volunteers across several different areas of interest. Please email us if you are interested in any of the postions listed below. 

Umpire-in-Chief Job Description

• Serve as coordinator of the local league umpire program
• Advise the LYB President on the local league umpire program
• Recommend volunteer umpires to the LYB President to serve the league during the regular season
• Recruit, review, and retain volunteer umpires
• Establish and implement umpire training program for volunteer umpires consistent with Little League guidelines
• Communicate rule changes to league volunteer umpires, managers, and coaches
• Recommend tournament-worthy umpires to the District Umpire Consultant
• Attend umpire training programs at the district, state, and regional levels

AAA Cordinator

• Roster all the AAA teams; identify coaches; be the point person for all AAA/Minors-related questions.

Apparel Coordinator

• Handles ordering of all LYB apparel and setting up sales tables at events such as the Hit-A-Thon, opening day, and evaluations.

Coach Pitch Coordinator

• Roster all the Coach Pitch teams; identify coaches; be the point person for all A-Ball-related questions.

Coaching Coordinator

• Point person for all coaching-related issues; main position is to keep track of coaching background checks.

Fall Ball Cordinator

• Similar to the level coordinator for the Spring but less work with teams building rosters and assigning coaches; distribute practice and game schedules.

Hit-A-Thon Coordinators

• Coordinates the Hit-A-Thon (2-3 people).

Juniors Cordinator

• Roster all the Juniors teams; identify coaches; be the point person for all Juniors-related questions.

Majors Coordinator

• Roster all the Majors teams; identify coaches; be the point person for all Majors-related questions.

Marketing Coordinator

• Post upcoming events on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram; create a marketing plan to increase awareness; coordinate the placement of yard signs, working with school principals, etc..

Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinator

• Develop fundraising opportunities and establish relationships with sponsors/donors.

Spring Ball Cordinator

• Coordinate the creation of teams and assist with team organization, building rosters and assigning coaches; distribute practice and game schedules.

Tee Ball Coordinator

• Roster all the Tee Ball teams; identify coaches; be the point person for all Tee Ball-related questions.

Uniform Cordinator

• Organize uniforms for team distribution; schedule uniform distribution; maintain uniforms in storage.

Volunteer Coordinator

• Responsible for tracking volunteer hours; work with other coordinators to list all possible volunteer opportunities.
